Sewa Canada International Aid Inc.
Sewa Canada International Aid Inc was formally registered as a non-profit charitable organization in January 1999. Sewa Canada serves the underprivileged through disaster relief, humanitarian aid, education, health and social development projects. The word Sewa stands for ‘service to humanity’ and the charity itself has been active in Canada for the past three decades.

What is Sewa?
The word ‘SEWA’ in Sanskrit means selfless service to the sick, poor, destitute, vulnerable and oppressed members of our social structure and that is exactly what this organization is doing.
Sewa Canada International’s motto is ‘Service to humanity is service to God’ (Nar sewa Narayan sewa) because we believe that whole world is one family (Vasudhaiva kutumbakam) so, May all be happy; May all be free from sickness (Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah; Sarve Santu Niramaya).
On Going Project
- Hindu and Sikh refugees from Pakistan arrive in India fleeing religious persecution.
- They arrive with minimal belongings, facing challenging conditions in New Delhi, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
- Lack of access to income and legal status as refugees make them unemployable in India.
- Refugee camps in the mentioned provinces are supported by Samaritans and well-wishers.
- Women and young girls, who have faced persecution, continue to bear scars of trauma despite finding safety in India.
- Illiteracy and lack of education, combined with their legal status, pose significant challenges to their lives in India.
